第78届奥斯卡提名名单揭晓，李安执导的浪漫剧情片《断背山》共获八项提名，包括最佳影片、最佳导演、最佳男主角、女配角与最佳改编剧本等。先前在影评奖项中受到忽略的杰克·吉伦希尔也获得最佳男配角提名。
据中央社旧金山31日专电，美国影艺学院今日清晨在记者会上宣布第78届奥斯卡入围名单。颁奖典礼订于3月5日举行。
在最佳影片最高荣誉当中《断背山》将与《卡波特》、《晚安，好运》、《撞车》、《慕尼黑》其他四部影片角逐大奖。原本颇受看好的乡村歌手约翰尼·卡什传记片《一往无前》，意外竟然未能挤进提名名单。
曾以《卧虎藏龙》入围奥斯卡最佳导演，最后输给了《毒品交易》史蒂文·索德伯格的李安，今年一如外界预期以《断背山》再度问鼎奥斯卡最佳导演。
《晚安，好运》乔治·克鲁尼、《慕尼黑》史蒂文·斯皮尔伯格、《卡波特》贝内特·米勒、《撞车》保罗·哈吉斯也都入围最佳导演。由于李安已经拿下今年美国导演协会年度最佳导演，可以说是夺冠呼声最高的入围者。
最佳男主角入围的有《断背山》希斯·莱吉尔、《一往无前》乔奎因·菲尼克斯、《卡波特》菲利普·塞莫尔·霍夫曼、《川流熙攘》特伦斯·霍华德、《晚安，好运》大卫·斯特雷泽恩。其中菲利普·塞莫尔·霍夫曼被认为是最具影帝相的入围者。
最佳女主角奖项入围的有《一往无前》瑞茜·威瑟斯朋、《穿越美国》菲丽西提·霍夫曼、《亨德森夫人的礼物》朱迪·丹奇、《傲慢与偏见》凯拉·奈特利、《决不让步》查理兹·塞隆五位女星。
不过，好莱坞媒体分析，影后之争将是瑞茜·威瑟斯朋与菲丽西提·霍夫曼两人之间的较劲。
最佳男配角入围的有金球奖最佳男配角得主《辛瑞纳》乔治·克鲁尼，以及《断背山》杰克·吉伦希尔、《撞车》马特·狄龙、《铁拳男人》保罗·吉亚玛提、《暴力史》威廉·赫特。
《断背山》米切尔·威廉姆斯在最佳女配角奖项中，将与金球奖最佳女配角得主《不朽的园丁》蕾切尔·薇兹、《决不让步》弗朗西斯·麦克杜蒙德、《卡波特》凯瑟琳·基纳、《六月虫》艾米·亚当斯争夺奖项。
